Soon after the homeroom teacher finished the announcements, the school bell could be heard throughout the building as the hallways began buzzing with activity as students transitioned from one class to the other for first period. The people around me either started collecting their things and moving to the door to walk to their first class, or stayed put due to their first class being in the same class. As for myself, I had to go to another class, so I had already started to move towards the door with my bag...but, I immediately stopped as I had remembered that she wanted to show me something that apparently deceived my understanding of an ideal school life...or, did she mean everything as in the school itself, or life? Really, I just wanted to forget she ever talked to me, especially considering the type of person she seems to be, but for whatever reason, I wanted to see this place. Not to prove her wrong, but really, maybe because I'm…
"Curious?"
I almost yelped as the sound of the girl whispering caught me off-guard. I turned towards her, with a questionable look, her orange eyes meeting mine. I notice her expression, which seemed to be a balanced mix of intrigued and delighted, almost like she was happy to see me...or, rather, someone like me. It didn't take me long to notice how close she was to being the same height as me, if only she was a mere few inches taller. Then, my eyes swiftly landed on her-
"Oi. Eyes up here, pervert." She instantly said, but when I looked up, she had a seductive smile instead of a usual scowl like most women would give me if I decided to admire their bust. (Btw, she seemed to be around a C or D-cup, which was not too big...but big enough to be considered good to me.)
"In any case," she started, putting her hand on her hips, "I should probably introduce myself before we head over to the club. It's Yu-"
"Wait a second. It's just a club? That's this great place that 'deceives everything?'" I blurted out, but I already felt myself getting mildly irritated. She was just a club recruiter that saw a new student and was trying to use her charm to get me to join. Who do she think she is? Haruhi?!
"It's not just that, but if I had to be technical, yeah. But! But, it's more than that. I mean, if you were any other guy or girl, I would have just left you alone...but, you seem quite interesting."
"Interesting how?" I asked, both of us now in the hallway that was starting to become clear as first period drew closer and the only voices in the hallway were me and this girl.
"Well, first off, I've never actually seen a trap before. I bet you were quite popular among girls...and guys..at your last school, am I right?" She pointed out. Of course my looks would get attention, so thank you Captain Obvious. Anyway, I nodded as I crossed my arms to hear her other reason.
"Second, I may be spit balling here, but you seem to be handling everything as if you were in a visual novel...or, rather, an anime." She stated. Wow, a few minutes and she thinks she already knows me. I mean, sure, I make a lot of anime references in my head sometimes, but it's not like I do everything with my knowledge of anime controlling how I live my life.
"Knowing those things, I really do wanna show you the club so that you can see that it isn't your or-"
"No."
"...wait, what?" She wondered, mildly confused at my answer. To be perfectly honest, I really don't feel like being duped into something with this girl being involved in it or running it. For all I know, I could be just going to a club that is actually a secret terrorist group who plans on taking away power from Japan. Sorry, I don't want to be called '10' or '12'.
"You can show anyone else this 'special place' you have in mind, but I can tell you right now that it won't be me. Also, there's your proof that I'm not living my life off of anime knowledge. Only an idiot protagonist would say yes to that shit." I tell her, then heard the bell ring.
Pissed that I was now late, I started heading towards my class...but, of course, the girl grabs a hold of my sleeve in a last effort to get me to change my mind, but what follows threw me off completely.
"You...don't really have a choice."
"Huh?! Who do you think you are? No one controls my life or my decisions except for myself. Don't act so cocky, bitch." I told her and yanked my arm away from her before I continued walking. I could hear her saying something like "You're gonna see it eventually. You'll even beg me to show you," but I don't listen to her crazy shit.
That girl, whoever she is, is now on my 'Stay the hell away' list, but more importantly, I'm gonna ask to move to another seat in homeroom as soon as after school. I planned to live a high school life away from that girl, ignoring whatever she tells me, and being cautious of that damn club she wants me to join. I just walked and didn't look back.
This was my first mistake...
